CHILKAT BALD EAGLE PRESERVE | HAINES, ALASKA.

Reported to be the largest gathering of bald eagles in the world, the Chilkat provides an excellent opportunity to photograph their behavior in their natural setting.
GREAT GREY OWLS | DULUTH, MINNESOTA
The fall migration provides the best opportunity to capture incredible photographs of the mysterious and illusive great grey owl. As in years past, we will be scouting for both great grey and snowy owls prior to the trip and hope to give everyone a chance to add both to their portfolios. While rare, the Duluth area is one of the best in North America for photographing these rare species of owls.
BALD EAGLE MIGRATION | IOWA
Bald eagle photography is challenging, especially in the Lower 48 where they prove to be extremely fearful of humans. We live in one of the “fly over states” and have scouted the best locations each winter for the last 15 years. Come along to capture incredible images of bald eagles in flight and pulling fish out of the water with their talons!
BALD EAGLES OF KENAI | HOMER, ALASKA
Bald eagles in the summer? While you won’t see the same action that is common during our workshop at the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve near Haines, Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula is a great place to capture razor sharp images of bald eagles at close range. On a clear day, snow capped mountains offer a sweet backdrop that make a fantastic addition to any photographer’s portfolio of work. Summer is a great time to visit this area so we offer shorter tours to allow time for you to check out the other offerings in this area.
BROWN BEARS IN THE WILD | ALASKA
Thanks to a well-timed salmon run, our Canadian Brown Bear Workshop offers excellent opportunities to capture stunning images of our furry, brown friends. A local guide will put us in the right location while watching our backs to the obvious danger that can arise. The rush of being close to a brown bear in the wild is something that you will never forget.
ICELAND LANDSCAPE PHOTO TOUR | REYKJAVIK, ICELAND
COMING IN 2020! To say that Iceland’s landscape is dramatic is an understatement. With great opportunities to photograph the aurora borealis, sea stacks on every coast and more waterfalls than you can possibly count, Iceland is a trip that you will never forget.
BALD EAGLES OF KATMAI | HOMER, ALASKA
COMING IN 2021! Winter is a great time to visit Homer for bald eagle photography. While there are usually a few opportunities to get close to some of Jean Keene’s eagles to snap closeups, the fishing shots alone make the trip to Alaska a memorable one. The weather is more moderate than other parts of Alaska due to the fact that Homer is positioned nicely between Kachemak Bay and the Cook Inlet. Travel costs are diminished due to the fact that tourist season peaks in the summer.
