I am very excited to announce the release of my latest photography project on YouTube.  After filming bald eagles in Alaska for several weeks throughout this past winter, I have ended up with over 80 hours of footage to use for multiple creative endeavors that involve our national bird.  The first of which is a short video that features two of the best locations in the world for photographing bald eagles, the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve just outside of Haines and Kachemak Bay near Homer.  After more than 25 years of still photography, expanding my skillset to include video has been no easy task.  However, the bald eagles in both locations were cooperative on many occasions, providing some awe-inspiring moments that any bird enthusiast can appreciate.

Whether it’s a simple flight shot with a mountainous backdrop, a fight scene or a bald eagle snatching fish from the blue green waters of Kachemak Bay, Homer and Haines are incredible locations for bald eagle photography.  While I have been able to capture this activity in still images in the past, video brings a new dynamic to my work and I am thrilled to bring it to your screens.

Bald Eagle Photography Tours in Alaska

Alaska is one of the most incredible places in the world.  To create this project, a combination of aerial and slow-motion video were used.  If you have a question about where a particular clip was filmed, don’t hesitate to reach out directly.  Just be sure to include a screen shot.

Want to join me in Alaska for a photography tour?  I currently offer tours in both locations on a yearly basis.
